A short summary of 10 years of Occultfest

On 29 August 2002 the first edition of Occultfest took place. This first edition has been organised as a private party. The participating volunteers and bands invited their circle of friends with the device: "Come to Occultfest and take with you some beer and a tent"

Occultfest 2002 in figures:

• 8 performing bands
• ca 150 visitors including 8 volunteers, 10 camping guests and 40 band members

The second edition of Occultfest took place on the 6th of September 2003. This edition has also been organised as a private party. The festival became widely known as a result of our digital domain, a lot of advertisement by word-of-mouth and festival shirts of the first edition.

Occultfest 2003 in figures:

• 14 performing bands
• ca 350 visitors including 12 volunteers, 20 camping guests and ca 70 band members and their crew

On 4 September 2004 the third Occultfest took place. This year it's been organised as a public festival with all the needed permissions. For this reason, the Occultfest Foundation has been founded in 2004.

• ca 750 visitors including 40 volunteers, 120 camping guests and ca 80 band members and their crew
  

On the 3rd of September 2005 the fourth edition of Occultfest was a fact. Also this year it has been organised as a public
and legal festival. This year with a bigger preparty and also two German bands and an English band.

• 14 performing bands
• 750 visitors including ca 45 volunteers, 200 camping guests and ca 100 bandmembers and crew

at the 2nd of September 2006 we celebrated the fifth time Occultfest.
This year with a real preparty and the German band Contradiction and the Swiss band Eluveitie.

• 14 performing bands
• 750 visitors including ca 50 volunteers, 220 camping guests and ca 100 bandmembers and crew

at the 31st of August and the 1st of September 2007 we proudly celebrated the sixth anniversary of Occultfest. In our opinion we can speak of a lustrum. This year, we also programmed three bands at Friday night and ca. 200 visitors have made this a success.

• 1000 visitors including ca 50 volunteers, 220 camping guests and ca 120 bandmembers and crew

at 5 and 6 September 2008 the seventh edition of Occultfest was a fact

Occultfest 2008 in figures:

• 18 performing bands
• 1100 visitors including ca 50 volunteers, 250 camping guests and ca 125 bandmembers and crew

at 4 and 5 September 2009 there was the eight edition of Occultfest.

Occultfest 2009 in figures:

• 17 performing bands (because one band had to cancel)
• 1200 visitors including ca 55 volunteers, 275 camping guests and ca 120 bandmembers and crew

at 3 and 4 September 2010 we dit it agian

Occultfest 2010 in figures:

• 19 performing bands (because one band had to cancel)
• 1200 visitors including ca 60 volunteers, 275 camping guests and ca 130 bandmembers and crew

at 2 and 3 September 2011 we had our 10th anniversary .

Occultfest 2011 in figures:

• 19 performing bands
• 1300 visitors including ca 60 volunteers, 300 camping guests and ca 130 bandmembers and crew

Occultfest 2012 in figures:

• 31 august and 1 September
• 20 performing bands
• 1200 visitors including ca 60 volunteers, 280 camping guests and ca 135 bandmembers and crew

The sum of 11 years of Occultfest

• 174 performing bands
• ca 9700 visitors including volunteers, band members and their crew

Together we look back on eleven successfull editions and we hope to equal this success in 2013!
When there are no strange incidents, the tenth edition of Occultfest will happen from the 6th September till the 8th of September.
